~ Morgantown’s Grand Dame Gets A Facelift ~
February 15, 2007, Morgantown, West Virginia…Mr. Dave Runco, General Manager, Lakeview Golf Resort & Spa, announced today the resort’s 2007 renovation plans. “Lakeview Resort continues its commitment to customer excellence with the April 2007 completion of its $1,000,000 guest room renovations. Our contractors are hard at work renovating all 187 guestrooms and a majority of the condominiums. New mattresses, bedding, carpeting, draperies, bathroom tile and wall vinyl are being installed as well as a multitude of hard and soft goods in the rooms.”
Renovations to all 187 guest rooms and bathrooms include:
- Furniture and carpeting, beds, bedding and soft goods
- New tile work, sinks and vanities, wall vinyl, lighting and mirrors
- Shower heads and shower curtains with curved shower rods
The million dollar renovation is Phase II for the resort. Phase I was completed last year, and included converting the former Reflections On-the-Lake Restaurant into the area’s premier ballroom. The new ballroom was an instant hit, and weddings and social events are already booked in the room through 2008. “The response to the new venue has been fantastic” said Runco. Also completed in Phase I was the renovation of The Leaderboard, once the resort’s nightclub, now the increasingly popular Fusion Restaurant. The new restaurant seats 120, and also features dining on the adjacent deck.
Renovations completed in Phase 1 include:
- Reflections On-the-Lake Ballroom is the area’s premier ballroom, and features panoramic views of Cheat Lake
- Fusion Restaurant … our new full-service restaurant with scenic views of Lakeview’s #1 tee and fairway.
- Lakeside Suite and Governor’s Suite, for VIP accommodations
- New HVAC units, televisions and telephones in guestrooms
- New carpeting in the conference rooms
- Complete remodeling of the indoor pool
- Fitness Center renovations and equipment upgrades
- Bed, Bath & Body® amenities in guestrooms
